Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide high-quality support to elderly, disabled, or recovering individuals in their homes or care facilities. The successful candidate will assist clients with activities of daily living while promoting dignity, independence, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
  • Support mobility, transfers, and safe ambulation.
  • Prepare meals and assist with feeding when necessary.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry and cleaning.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support.
  • Assist with medication reminders as permitted by company policy.
  • Accompany clients to appointments, errands, and social activities.
  • Observe and report changes in clients' physical or emotional condition.
  • Maintain accurate records of services provided.
  • Follow all health, safety, and confidentiality guidelines.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous caregiving, home health, or PCA experience preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation preferred.
  • Ability to lift, transfer, and assist clients safely.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate, patient, and dependable.
